Warrant arrest made
Oswego police arrested Michael S. Orland, 37, of the 300 block of South Madison Street, Oswego, at 3 p.m. Aug. 17 on Route 34 at Douglas Road. Police said Orland was wanted on two Grundy County warrants for failure to appear in court. Orland was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville where he later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.
Juvenile motorist cited in crash
Oswego police ticketed a teen motorist at 2:46 p.m. Aug. 16 on Harvey Road at Townsend Drive after the vehicle the teen was driving was involved in a crash with another vehicle. Police said the crash resulted in minor injuries and the teen was cited for disobeying a stop sign and having too many passengers.
12-year-old arrested on theft charge
Oswego police arrested a juvenile, age 12, at 5:43 p.m. Aug. 17 at a store in the 2500 block of Route 34 on a charge of retail theft. Police said the minor attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at $800.
Oswego man facing charges
Oswego police arrested Cornelius Fisher, 40, of the 200 block of Parkside Lane, Oswego, after stopping the vehicle he was driving at 7:25 a.m. Aug. 16 on Harvey Road at Wolf’s Crossing Road. Police said Fisher was wanted on a contempt of court charge and cited for driving on a suspended registration and license, and for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Fisher was transported to the county jail where he posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
Sexual assault reported
A 22-year-old Plano man told Oswego police at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 15 that he was the victim of a criminal sexual assault that occurred several years ago when he lived in the village.
Damage reported at store
Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to property Aug. 15 at a retail store in the 2700 block of Route 34. Police said damage occurred at an unknown time.
Oswego High School incident
Oswego police are investigating a disorderly conduct incident that occurred at 9 a.m. Aug. 15 at Oswego High School. No injuries or arrests were reported.
Bike ramp stolen
A bike ramp valued at $100 was stolen sometime between 10 p.m. Aug. 12 and 7 a.m. Aug. 13 from the front yard of a residence in the 60th block of Oakwood Drive, Oswego police were told.
