As his Eagle Scout project for Boy Scout Troop #40 (which meets at the Chapel on the Green), Nico DeNardo choose a landscaping project for the Chapel. Organizing the effort included obtaining donations from area businesses along with planning the installation of bricks and mulch, and planting a number of perennials.

"This is a wonderful addition to our Chapel," said Howard Manthei, executive director/vice president of the Chapel.

Business donors included: Four Seasons Landscaping, Paradise Car Wash of Yorkville, 1st Place Rental of Oswego, Home Depot of Yorkville, Portillo's of Oswego and Yorkville Subway, and Winding Creek Nursery in Millbrook. Many scouts and parents from Troop 40, family and friends and chapel board members, along with these generous businesses made this project possible.
