Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 10:17 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 6000 block of Pavilion Road in unincorporated Kendall Township for a report of a 911 open line. Upon further investigation, Ryan M. Fitzsimmons, 32, of the same block, was arrested and charged with domestic battery.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:17 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 0-99 block of East Lions Drive in unincorporated Big Grove Township for a report of a domestic battery. The investigation continues.

Hit-and-run

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 5:04 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 700 block of Rance Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a vehicle that struck a guard rail. The investigation continues.

In-state warrant

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Devin L. Leasure, 18, of the 2200 block of Light Road in Oswego Township, on Jan. 4 on a warrant related to retail theft charges out of Kendall County.

Harassment by electronic communication

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 5:40 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 0-100 block of Rocky Way in Boulder Hill for a report of harassment by electronic communication. The victim said a co-worker was harassing them via electronic communication, according to police. No complaints were signed at the time and the victim wanted the incident documented, police said.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:16 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 0-100 block of Cannonball Trail in unincorporated Bristol Township for a report of a domestic battery. Marcus R. Massey, 23, of the same block, was arrested and charged with domestic battery, endangering the life of a child and resisting a peace officer.

Driving without a valid license

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Sofia Lopez, 41, of the 1900 block of Windette Drive in Montgomery, at 5:28 p.m. Jan. 4 near Fernwood and Greenbriar roads in Boulder Hill. Lopez was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license and released at the scene.

DUI alcohol

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Jacinta Nunez, 34, of the 300 block of West Center Street in Sandwich, at 9:14 p.m. Jan. 3 near Route 34 and Cannonball Trail in unincorporated Bristol Township for an equipment violation. Nunez later was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Nunez also was cited for driving without lights when required.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:36 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 0-99 block of Sonora Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that happened in the early morning of Jan. 2. Police said the victim reported that unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and removed personal items. The investigation continues.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:05 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 0-99 block of Old Post Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that happened between Jan. 1 and 2. The investigation continues.

In-state warrant

A sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle at 8:09 p.m. Jan. 1 at Douglas Road and Route 30 in Oswego for expired registration. Police later learned Blanca L. Ortiz-Garza, 38, of the 100 block of Woodlawn Avenue in Aurora, had two warrants from Kane County for her arrest. The two warrants were for failure to appear in court for driving with a suspended driver’s license, which is a Class A misdemeanor. Kane County court records confirmed those related traffic cases are open.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 1:19 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 0-99 block of Hubbard Way in Boulder Hill for a report of an injured person. Police later learned a domestic incident took place between a male and a female. The investigation continues.

Harassment by telephone

Sheriff’s deputies received a report of harassment by telephone at 5:38 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Kendall County Public Safety Center. The investigation continues.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 11:11 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 2000 block of Collins Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a domestic battery. The investigation continues.

Leaving the scene of an accident

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 10:34 p.m. Dec. 29 at the intersection of Route 126 and Minkler Road in unincorporated Kendall Township for a report of a hit-and-run incident. The investigation continues.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:49 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 8000 block of Millbrook Road in unincorporated Fox Township for a report of a damaged road sign. The investigation continues.

Speeding 35 mph or more over the limit

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:57 p.m. Dec. 29 on Caterpillar Drive near Route 31 near Montgomery for speeding 71 mph in a 30 mph zone. Police said the driver was a 16-year-old female from the 2400 block of Simon Drive in Montgomery. The female was cited for speeding 35 mph or more over the limit and released on her own recognizance.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 12:59 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill for a report of domestic battery that occurred between Dec. 27 and 29. The investigation continues.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 1 a.m. Dec. 28 in the 0-99 block of West Aldon Court in Boulder Hill for a report of theft from a residence. The investigation continues.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 5:53 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 0-99 block of Greenbriar Road in Boulder Hill for a report of criminal damage to property that occurred between 11:15 p.m. Dec. 23 and 5:36 a.m. Dec. 24. Police said the complainant reported damage to a vehicle parked in their driveway. The investigation continues.
