The next meeting of Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club will be Jan. 9 at the Oswego Public Library, 32 W. Jefferson St. in downtown Oswego.
The program, “Winter Birds of Northern Illinois,” will be presented by wildlife educators Bob and Kathy Andrini. Bob is the president of the Kane County Audubon Society. Together, they teach nature programs and organize and lead field trips.
Their pictorial presentation will include permanent residents, as well as winter visitors found in fields, streams and backyards. Discussion includes the many adaptations birds have developed to withstand the cold and inclement weather.
The meeting opens at 9 a.m. with refreshments and the program follows at about 9:30 a.m. Anyone in the community may attend.
