Business to open in lower level of former fire station next year
Oswego is one step closer to having its own brewery after the village board enthusiastically approved a special use permit for the Oswego Brewing Company during a meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
Led by local friends and brewers Chris Heinen, Peter J. Rzeminski II and Punit Patel, the proposed brewery would operate in the lower level of what used to be Oswego Fire Protection District Station No. 1 at 59 Main Steet in the village's downtown. The upper level of the building which fronts Main Street is now home to the Oswego Cyclery and Oswego Extreme.
