Ava Knepper had 12 assists and Casey Delphey 10 digs for Sandwich in the championship match. Sandwich missed five serves in Game 1, and couldn't find a rhythm in serve receive.
It got turned around, though, and ironically LaBolle ended the match by serving an ace.
"We've done this before, where we lost the first game," Sandwich coach Selynda Kern said. "I have a great team that knows how to refocus. Once we get the passes up, Sammi and Sydney are our go-to girls. We did a much better job of getting them the ball in Games 2 and 3."
Sandwich previously beat in the tournament Serena 21-16, 21-14; Streator Woodland 21-13, 21-16; Streator 21-14, 21-11; and in the semifinals Reed-Custer 26-24, 25-11. Plano took fourth in the tournament, losing to Reed-Custer in the third-place match.
Coselman had 43 kills and 22 digs for the tournament, LaBolle, 41 kills, and14 aces, Knepper, 62 assists, Brooke Johnson 33 assists, Delphey 25 digs and Jaylynn Vana, seven kills and seven blocks.
