In time for the Halloween season, the villages of Montgomery and Oswego put their histories on display, with their annual cemetery walk.
Montgomery's walk, held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Riverside Cemetery, was dotted with tiki torches, to light the path through the cemetery, as groups of visitors stopped at different stations to hear about members of the community who helped to shape it, or lived through important moments in history.
Oswego held their annual walk on Thursday evening in the Oswego Township Cemetery off Main Street, with lines stretching far from the cemetery well before the event started. Ghosts at the walk included John Dillinger gang member John Hamilton and sisters Ann Eliza Townsend DeVoe and Charlotte Townsend Murphy.
