Insurance violations
Sandwich police arrested Haley Pirofalo, 26, of the 800 block of West Charles Street, Sandwich, after stopping her vehicle in the 800 block of Latham Street at 5:10 p.m. July 4. Police said Pirofalo faces charges of driving on a suspended license, suspended registration for an insurance violation and operating an uninsured vehicle. Pirofalo posted bond and was released pending an appearance next month at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore.
Warrant arrest
Sandwich police arrested Dupree Sharp, 34, of the 800 block of Latham Street, Sandwich, at his home July 2 at 3:57 p.m. Police said Sharp was wanted on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant for a parole violation. He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore pending court proceedings.
Battery arrest
Sandwich police arrested Benjamin Harkins, 36, of the 1800 block of Irene Road, Sandwich, in the 800 block of East Railroad Street at 8:13 p.m. July 8. Police said Harkins was charged with battery. He posted bond and was released pending an appearance at the DeKalb County Courthouse next month.
Disorderly conduct
Sandwich police arrested Armando Guzman, 28, of the 300 block of Wentworth Drive, Sandwich, at his home after a report of an intoxicated person threatening people at 7:22 p.m. July 7. Police said Guzman was charged with disorderly conduct and was released pending an appearance at the DeKalb County Courthouse next month.
Warrant arrest
Sandwich police arrested Gregorio Francisco-Martinez, 32, of the 300 block of Wentworth Drive, Sandwich, at Railroad and Pearl streets at 12:57 a.m. July 7. Police said Francisco-Martinez was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on prior charges of driving under the influence and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Francisco-Martinez was taken to the DeKalb County Jail pending court proceedings.
Warrant arrest
Sandwich police arrested Andrew Strandell, 37, of the 800 block of East Railroad Street, Sandwich, at his home July 8 at 8:02 p.m. on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police said Strandell posted bond and was released pending an appearance later this month at the DeKalb County Courthouse.
