Wilmington at Plano
When: 7 p.m. Friday
Last week: Plano 40, Herscher 21; Wilmington 27, Streator 0
What to watch: A game with huge playoff implications. Both teams, at 5-3, are probably in the playoff field anyway based on points, but this would cement it – and help out seeding. Plano, winner of six of seven, is peaking at the right time. Demetri Coker, the area's leading rusher with over 1,100 yards, has topped 100 yards six straight games. Quarterback Bryson Schmidt has a combined 18 touchdowns rushing and receiving. Wilmington, likewise, is rolling, winners of three straight by almost a 30-point average margin. Wilmington's Conner Dempsey and Sam Hafner combined for 309 rushing yards out of the double wing against Streator.
