Oswego embraced the spirit of the holidays with its annual Christmas Walk Friday night in the village’s downtown. Beginning with the Tree Lighting ceremony at Village Hall and extending through the annual Illuminated Silent Parade down Main Street, visitors could take part in a wide range of activities – including a visit with Santa Claus at The Garden Faire.
Friday’s event was themed around the classic holiday film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” starring James Stewart. Window art throughout downtown Oswego reflected the fictional town of Bedford Falls, with local businesses standing in for those from the film.
In honor of the final scene of the film, a donation drive was held at Oswego Cyclery to collect nonperishable food and money for those in need.
