Hejza and Niesman gave Oswego a much-needed boost off the bench in the second quarter.
Niesman scored six straight points to trim what was a 12-point margin to 29-24 by half.
"Cal did a good job pushing the ball to me," Niesman said. "When he got it to me I was in attack mode."
That is nothing new for Niesman, the ideal first guard off the bench.
"Joey is our 'Microwave,' he really is like a little Vinnie Johnson, he has that about him," said Pohlmann, comparing Niesman to the ex-Detroit Pistons sixth man super sub of the 1980s. "He's a gamer, he's not afraid to mix it up. He challenges everybody he faces no matter how good or bad they are."
