Yorkville junior Jonathan Waugh and Minooka's Luke Petrovic, co-MVPs of the conference, shot matching 75s for the low round Tuesday. Petrovic was conference champion on a scorecard tiebreaker.
Oswego's depth indeed showed, with Jack Rimington (fifth, 78 ), Blake Ginn (10th, 79) and Ethan Albaugh (13th, 79) joining Hranka in the 70s.
And it was needed in a conference that was razor-tight all year.
Oswego beat Plainfield North at Blackberry Farm by six strokes, and lost to Minooka for its only dual loss. Minooka lost to Plainfield North by one stroke and Oswego East by one stroke and Oswego beat Yorkville by one during the dual season.
"I sat down with the guys at Mistwood and I said 'The four of you have the ability, we are all going to have to break 80, shoot around 315,' and sure enough they all kept at it all day," Pohlmann said. "Our short game was really good and we started rolling in putts on the back nine. I can't say enough about Patrick today."
