Want to stay up-to-date on what’s happening in Oswego?
Residents and businesses can do just that by becoming a subscriber to the village’s free email alerts program.
Those who do will have a range of information at their fingertips, including notifications on construction updates, community news, special events, board meetings, and more.
“Signing up for email alerts is very valuable for our residents and beyond,” said Oswego Village President Troy Parlier.
The program is also ideal for those who would like to receive notices on opportunities to do business with the village of Oswego. That’s because those who sign up for the email alerts can also register to receive notifications on bids and request for proposals the village is seeking.
The service, Parlier said, allows Oswego to “bring the bidding and RFP process closer to those wanting this information.”
“As soon as an RFP is posted by the village, it can be sent to those interested parties,” he said.
The largest municipality in Kendall County, with growth that is projected to continue, Oswego is an ideal place to live and work, Parlier said.
“Demographics are strong here. We have a high median household income and a young population,” he said.
For him, business retention is just as important as new business development.
“I want to make sure we communicate regularly with our business community and are responsive to their needs,” he said. “New business development is fundamental to our continued growth as a village. I will be focusing a great deal of my time and energy to broadening our revenues through new business growth.”
