Oswego resident Divinci Huitron experiences soccer in Barcelona

Oswego resident and current Panther Soccer Club player Divinci Huitron recently returned from Barcelona after participating for a second time in the prestigious International FCB Escola Tournament over the week of Easter.

After being noticed at the age of 5 in one of their USA camps held throughout the country in 9 major cities, Huitron was selected to play on the FCB Select USA Blue team. This is a phenomenal opportunity to train within the FC Barcelona system, play against other FCB Escola teams from 26 different countries, and enjoy the various activities that they offer. Huitron was able to experience a Champions League game between Barcelona and Arsenal, a La Liga game between Barcelona and Villereal, and a women's Champions League game between Barcelona and PSG.

Huitron is currently a U8 player who plays on Panther Soccer Club's U9 Boys Orange team, which competes in the NISL U9 Platinum division. In addition to the FCB Escola selection, Huitron is the current USA Technical Champion for the U8 age group, having won the competition a few months ago at an event held at IUPUI. He is coached by his father, Cleo Huitron.
