Two men arrested in Jan. 26 Boulder Hill shooting incident

Two Aurora men have been charged in connection with a shooting incident in Boulder Hill that occurred Friday afternoon, Jan. 26.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office announced early Saturday morning, Jan. 27, that the State's Attorney's Office charged Kenzail Marshawn Taylor, 20, of the 400 block of Sherman Avenue, Aurora, and Nikko Najee Muhammad, 19, of the 1300 block of 4th Street, Aurora, with felony aggravated discharge of a firearm, in connection with an incident on Friday, Jan. 26, where shots were fired at a house in the 0-99 block of Amesbury Road in Boulder Hill.

The Sheriff's Office said that during an investigation into the shooting incident, deputies executed search warrants on a residence in the 1200 block of Pearl Street in Aurora and on a vehicle suspected of being involved in the incident.

Deputies seized three handguns and multiple rounds of ammunition from the Pearl Street house, police said.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and those with information on this case or any case should call the Sheriff's Office Investigations Unit at 630-553-7500, ext. 1105. They can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 630-553-5999.

The Aurora Police Department, the Illinois State Police, the Kane County Sheriff's Office and the Kendall County Criminal Intelligence Team assisted the Kendall County Sheriff's Office in executing the search warrants, police said.
