DUI arrest on Route 25
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Chavez, 43, of the 8600 block of Grande Ridge Road in Seneca after stopping his vehicle on Route 25 at Second Street Nov. 4 at 9:50 p.m. Police said Chavez was charged with driving under the influence and speeding. He was transported to the county jail pending court proceedings.
DUI among charges
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Juan A. Gonzalez-Sanchez, 49, of the 700 block of May Street, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle in the area of Briarcliff Road and South Bereman Road in Boulder Hill. Police said Gonzalez-Sanchez was charged with driving under the influence and ticketed for failing to signal within 100 feet of an intersection.
Respond to domestic
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery at a home in the 0-99 block of Hunter Drive in Boulder Hill, Nov. 4 at 11:30 a.m. Police said the incident remains under investigation.
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery at a home in the 0-99 block of Sonora Drive in Boulder Hill Nov. 4 at 12:20 p.m. Police said a juvenile was referred to the juvenile court system as a result of the incident.
Two hurt in crash
A Sheridan resident, Ryan J. Fuller, 25, and a passenger in his vehicle were injured and taken to area hospitals after Fuller’s vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Crimmins Road and Fox River Road in Fox Township Nov. 4 at 7:04 p.m. Police said Fuller was cited for disobeying a stop sign, improper passing and operating a vehicle without insurance. Police said they are continuing their investigation into the crash.
Injured, cited in Rt. 71 crash
A Newark resident, Shelly Neill, 52, of the 12000 block of Hollenback Road, was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 71 at Millbrook Road Nov. 2 at 6:27 p.m. Police said Neill was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle in the crash was not injured. Police said Neill was cited for failure to yield at an intersection and having no insurance.
76 mph in 45 mph zone
County sheriff’s deputies ticketed Greace Montes, 26, of Shorewood for speeding 76 mph in a 45 mph construction zone on Route 47 at Townhall Road in Lisbon Township Nov. 1 at 4:39 p.m. Montes was released at the scene pending court proceedings.
Work zone speeding charge
County sheriff’s deputies ticketed Shih Peng Chou, 30, of Yorkville for speeding 77 mph in a 45 mph construction zone on Galena Road at Willow Road Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. Police said Chou was released at the scene pending a court appearance.
Boulder Hill battery reported
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a battery at a home in the 0-10 block of Hunter Court in Boulder Hill Oct. 21 at 6:47 p.m. Police said the incident remains under investigation.
Criminal property damage
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of criminal damage to property at a home in the 0-99 block of Sonora Road in Boulder Hill Nov. 3 at 1:30 am. Police said they are investigating.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Javier Marchado, 29, of the 0-99 block of Whitney Way, Boulder Hill, after responding to a report of a domestic incident at his home Nov. 2 at 6:09 p.m. Police said Marchado was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on prior driving on a suspended license and speeding charges. He was transported to the county jail pending court proceedings.
A firearm was reported stolen from a home in the 0-100 block of Ford Drive in Kendall Township Oct. 31, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said their investigation into the theft is continuing.
Burglary, weapons charge
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Bryan M. Lawson, 34, of the 25000 block of Vermette Road, Plainfield, at 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 31 on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property, and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon, after deputies responded to a business in the 0-100 block of Wolf’s Crossing Road, Oswego Township, for a disturbance and found that a burglary had occurred at a nearby business.
