Motorist facing DUI charge
Sandwich police arrested Charles Wojak, 55, of the 2000 block of North 4650 Road, Sandwich, at 8:16 p.m. Dec. 29 after stopping the vehicle he was driving at the corner of Sandy Bluff and Lions roads. Police said Wojak was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted bond and was released pending an appearance at the Kendall County Courthouse in Yorkville later this month.
Facing possession charge
Sandwich police arrested Timmy Ross, 40, of the 600 block of North Main Street, Sandwich, at 10:45 p.m. Dec. 31 at his residence on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police said Ross was transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore pending court proceedings.
