To the Editor:
Oswego village voters will have a multitude of choices when they go to the polls either for early voting starting Feb. 21 or on Election Day on April 2. I recently left Kendall County for a job opportunity, but I spent the past 19 years covering the region full-time as a reporter and editor. I’ve met my share of leaders, good and poor, throughout my career.
I can tell you without hesitation that Gail Johnson is a proven leader and deserves your vote for another term as Oswego village president. She thinks big but leads in a practical, pragmatic manner that suits the village well as the community looks to the future. The village’s downtown is set to face tremendous growth and economic opportunity, and it’s all thanks to Gail, village staff, and a forward-looking village board.
Village Board members Karin McCarthy-Lange and Ryan Kauffman also deserve your vote for new terms, as they take matters of development and taxation seriously and truly represent their constituency with character and integrity. Dominick Cerone has shown to be a voice of reason on the village’s planning and zoning commission.
