To the Editor:
Let me take a minute to talk to you about youth and inexperience experience. Admittedly, I’m probably the youngest candidate for village trustee Oswego has ever seen, but with it I still bring plenty of experience. I previously served on the plan commission and zoning board of appeals, where I and others reviewed the projects that would eventually find their way to the village board. In addition, I also worked with the village board in reviewing and approving the 2015 Comprehensive plan.
Aside from my experience on the plan commission, I have seven years’ worth of experience of working with multiple municipalities as an IT consultant. Throughout this time, I’ve had endless amounts of additional exposure to many of the day to day issues and workings of local governments from an entirely different perspective.
Each day that passes, the use of, and needs for, technology expands in our daily lives and our governments. Between my professional experience and my previous public service, I’m uniquely tooled to not only help the overall and fiscal health of our village, but to bring a unique perspective on how we can best utilize technology to streamline our current services and expand with new services.
