Yorkville police reports

Improper Lane Usage

Yorkville police cited Timothy DiSantis, 61, of the 4000 block of East 1344th Road, Earlville for improper lane usage, after responding to a traffic accident in the area of Route 34 and Route 47 at 9:42 a.m. March 5. No injuries were reported.

Theft over $500

Yorkville police are investigating a report of theft over $500 in the 600 block of North Bridge Street at 6:50 p.m. March 8. Police stated that the victim did not receive five cell phones that were supposed to be delivered to his house in February. He called the cell phone company and was told that the charge would be removed, but the charge was still reflected in the victim's March bill. The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment by telephone

Yorkville police are investigating a report of harassment by telephone at 8:15 p.m. March 8 in the 600 block of West Veterans Parkway. Police reported the victim received a cell phone call from his wife's cell phone. However a male friend of his wife's was on the phone and requested the victim meet him to engage in a fist fight. The investigation is ongoing.

Failure to reduce speed

Yorkville police cited Jose Aguirre, 32, of the 200 block of South Adams Street, Oswego, for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, after responding to a traffic accident at 5:10 p.m. March 9 in the area of Route 47 and Route 34 No injuries were reported.

Following too close

Yorkville police cited Brian Chapman, of the 1500 block of Grandview Drive, Aurora, for following too close at 10:28 a.m. March 10 while responding to a traffic accident in the area of Route 34 and Autumn Creek Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

Theft under $500

Yorkville police are investigating a report of theft under $500 at 8:15 p.m. March 10 in the 300 block of East Veterans Parkway. According to police, the victim entered a business and placed his wallet and keys in an unsecured locker for approximately two-and-a-half hours. When he went to retrieve the items, valued at $122, they were missing. The investigation is ongoing.
