An Oswego man was sentenced on Feb. 19 to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for dealing Ecstacy.
Quincy A. Covington, 27, of the 30 block of Waterbury Circle, delivered Ecstasy multiple times, a total of nearly 50 pills, to undercover officers starting in August through September 2018, according to a news release from the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s office.
“If I did the math right, they bought the drugs for approximately $875 total,” Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis said.
Covington was arrested on a warrant in November 2018 and has remained in custody since his arrest, according to the release.
Covington will have to serve 3 years of mandatory supervised release, or parole, after his prison term is completed, the release said.
Kendall County Assistant State’s Attorney Frank Gorup prosecuted this case. Attorney Victoria Chuffo represented Covington.
