Yorkville police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 6:13 p.m. June 10 at a gas station and convenience store in the 2000 block of South Bridge Street.
In a press release, police said money was taken from a victim after a suspect displayed a handgun and a knife.
The incident occurred as a store employee was helping a suspect into a bathroom, the release said. Police said three other suspects then entered the bathroom and robbed the store employee at gunpoint. The suspects fled the store on foot.
Yorkville Police Chief Rich Hart said there were no injuries reported and nobody else was threatened during the incident. He said about $98 was stolen from the victim.
"We're in the process of reviewing videos and looking more into it," Hart said.
Nothing was reported to be taken from the store, according to police.
