Yorkville police arrested Ariel Barrios, 20, of the 900 block of Lois Lane, Joliet, after observing a solicitor while on routine patrol at 6:16 p.m., Aug. 5, in 900 block of Heartland Drive. Upon requesting a valid solicitor permit, officers discovered that Barrios had a warrant in his name. Barrios was taken into custody and transported to the Kendall County Jail to await a court appearance.
Following too close
Yorkville police cited Cathy L. Jensen, 53, of the 1900 block of Irene Road, Sandwich, for following too close, after responding to a traffic accident at 7:17 p.m., July 29, in the area of Route 126 and Route 47. No injuries were reported.
Yorkville police arrested a male juvenile on a charge of retail theft, after responding to a report of theft at 5:55 p.m., July 30, at a business in the 1000 block of South Bridge Street. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Yorkville Police Department where he was later released to the custody of a parent and referred to Kendall County Probations.
Failure to obey traffic control device
Yorkville police cited Madison Konecny, 21, of the 2100 block of Meadowview Lane, Yorkville, for failure to obey traffic control device, after responding to a traffic accident at 10:32 p.m., July 31, in the area of Route 47 and Cannonball Trail. Konecny was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Criminal damage to property
Yorkville police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property, that occurred at 12:42 p.m., Aug. 2, in the 4500 block of Garritano Street. According to police, an unknown person or persons shattered a glass storm door valued at $500. The investigation is ongoing.
Operating an uninsured vehicle
Yorkville police cited Jonathan Robinson, 36, of the 1400 block of Chestnut Lane, Yorkville, for operating an uninsured vehicle, after responding to a traffic accident at 4:05 p.m., Aug. 3, in the area of Route 34 and Marketplace Drive. No injuries were reported.
Yorkville police arrested James C. Dwight, 50, of the 10000 block of Duffy Road, Waterman, on two failure to appear warrants for driving while license suspended and driving under the influence, after making contact with Dwight, who was a witness to another incident, at 12:46 a.m., Aug. 4, in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road. Dwight was taken into custody and transported to the Kendall County Jail.
Criminal damage to property
Yorkville police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property that occurred at 7:49 p.m., Aug. 4, in the 300 block of Mulhern Court. According to police, the victim discovered damage to his vehicle totaling $400. The investigation is ongoing.
