A Chicago Ridge man was arrested by Yorkville police on a charge of driving under the influence, Sunday, Sept. 8, after a late-night vehicle crash.
Yorkville police arrested Peter Vasquez, 21, of the 6700 block of 107th Street on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after responding to a single-vehicle crash with air bag deployment at 10:35 p.m., Sept. 8, in the area of Cannonball Trail and Galena Road. No injuries were reported.
During the course of the investigation, officers spoke with Vasquez, who informed officers that he had come from a bar and did not know what road he was driving on. Vasquez further told officers that he fell asleep and drove off the road.
Officers conducted field sobriety tests, which Vasquez was unable to complete. He was taken into custody and transported to the Kendall County Jail to await bond.
