Oswego police reports

Information in Police Reports is obtained from local police departments. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

Warrant arrest

Oswego police arrested Kimberly C. Hagan, 34, of the 1300 block of Monomoy Drive, Aurora, after stopping the vehicle she was driving at 12:19 p.m. Nov. 23 on Route 31 at River Run Boulevard. Police said Hagan was wanted on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license suspended. Hagan was also cited for driving while license suspended, no insurance and no front license plate. Hagan was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, where she later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.

Ticketed for blue light use

Oswego police ticketed Charles C. Platte, 24, of the 200 block of Maple Street, Sugar Grove at 8;01 p.m. Nov. 23 on Route 47 at Jericho Road. Police said Platte was cited for illegal use of oscillating, rotating or flashing blue lights on Douglas Road and Wisecrack Drive in the village.

Bogus bills passed at restaurant

Oswego police are investigating the passing of counterfeit $20 bills in two separate transactions between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Nov. 23 at a restaurant in the 300 block of Douglas Road.

Semitrailer sideswipes vehicle

Oswego police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 7:52 a.m. Nov. 23 on Route 30 at Proclamation Drive. Police said a vehicle driven by an Oswego resident was sideswiped by a semitractor-trailer that fled the scene. Damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated at more than $1,500.

Route 30 hit-and-run reported

Oswego police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 5:09 p.m. Nov. 22 on Route 30 at Wolf’s Crossing Road. No one was injured in the crash, but damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated at less than $1,500.

Damage in crash exceeds $1,500

Oswego police took a report of a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 5:26 p.m. Nov. 22 on Douglas Road at Woolley Road. No one was hurt in the crash, but damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated at more than $1,500.

Oswego police took a report of a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 8:52 a.m. Nov. 22 on Route 30 at Harvey Road. Police said no injuries were reported and damage as a result of the crash was estimated at less than $500.

Business reports loss

A representative at an insurance business in the 40th block of Kendall Point Drive told Oswego police at 12:28 p.m. Nov. 20 that someone had unlawfully cashed a check from the business in the amount of $802.02. Police said they are investigating.

Damage reported at OEHS

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to state supported property at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 20 at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road. Damage was estimated at $200, police said.

Disorderly conduct report at OHS

Oswego police are investigating a report of a disorderly conduct incident that occurred at 2 p.m. Nov. 19 at Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71.

Theft reported

Oswego police took a theft report at 9 a.m. Nov. 20 at Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71. Police said the theft occurred at 7:15 a.m. Nov. 7.

Credit card fraud reported

Oswego police are investigating a credit card fraud report filed by a resident of Bluegrass Parkway Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.

ID theft reported

Oswego police took an identity theft report from a resident of the 300 block of Praireview Drive at 6:08 p.m. Nov. 19. Police said the victim’s identity was stolen sometime between June 8, 2017 and June 30, 2018.
