The Oswego Co-Op boys swimming and diving team took second place finish out of 13 teams at the 65th Annual Riverside Brookfield HS Invitational.
The top three teams were Oak Park-River Forest 284 points, Oswego 261 points, and Andrew HS 172 points.
The Oswego boys were lead by Austin Millard winning the 200 freestyle and 500 free, Bobby Peterson winning the 100 butterfly, and Garrett O'Grady winning the 200 individual medley.
Mason Accidentale scored 14 points and Anthony Santoria added 10 as the Reapers (11-6) beat Serena 68-30 for their fifth straight win. Uriel Rodriguez added nine points for the Reapers.
Josie Ness led three Indians scoring in double figures with 17 points, and Sandwich made 22 free throws – tied for second most all time in program history for a game – in a 61-39 win over Rochelle on Saturday. Claire Roberts added 16 points and Ava Knepper had 14 for Sandwich (12-7, 3-3), which outscored Rochelle 20-10 in the third quarter to blow open a five-point game at halftime. Jaylynn Vana scored eight points.
Christine Corpuz had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolves (6-13, 3-5) in a 67-60 loss to Joliet West on Friday. Lauren Shea added 14 points and nine rebounds, Carly Engelhardt had 14 points and seven rebounds and Riley Doggett scored 10 points.
Engelhardt had 13 points and nine rebounds, Corpuz 12 points and three steals, Shea 12 points and nine rebounds and Doggett 11 points and seven rebounds in a 55-52 loss to Neuqua Valley on Thursday.
The Indians placed third at the 35th Annual Prairie Central Hawk Classic with 192.5 points, behind Mahomet-Seymour (252) and Prairie Central (212). Braulio Flores took first at 132 pounds, winning a 16-6 decision over Braeden Heinold of Mahomet-Seymour in the final. Evan Reilly took second at 126 for Sandwich, Aidan Linden was fourth at 138, Eddie Brown was third at 160 and Jackson Murphy was fourth at 170
