Montgomery youth honored for finishing half marathons in all 50 states

The Montgomery Village Board honored village resident Aiden Jaquez, 11, left, Monday, Jan. 13 for becoming the youngest person ever to complete half marathons in all 50 states. Jaquez, a student at Thompson Junior High School in Oswego, ran the half marathons with his grandmother, Kathleen Taylor. Jaquez said his best finishing time was 2 hours and 9 minutes. Taylor said her grandson ran the half marathons because he enjoys running. Denny Lee, a village board member, (right) presented the certificate along with athletic equipment and a gift certificate to Jaquez on behalf of the village.
