CASA DeKalb County is looking for new volunteers in order to help the county’s abused and neglected children.
The Court Appointed Special Advocates group will host two informational sessions: from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at the CASA office, 407 W. State St. in Sycamore; and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the DeKalb Public Library Bilder Room, 309 Oak St., DeKalb.
Those who wish to attend and volunteer must be at least 24 years old.
CASA serves as the advocate the children who, throughout no fault of their own, are involved in DeKalb County juvenile court, according to a CASA news release.
Visitors unable to attend either February information sessions can apply online at www.casadekalb.org/volunteer-app/.
