Three injured in Route 30 crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:22 p.m. Feb. 6 on Route 30 at Goodwin Drive, according to Oswego police. Listed by police as injured and transported to an area hospital were the drivers of the vehicles in the crash, Richard Olson, 70, of Montgomery and Joanne Schirmer, 65, also of Montgomery. A passenger in Olson’s vehicle, Linda Olson of Montgomery, also was injured and taken to an area hospital. Police said the accident occurred when Richard’s Olson’s truck struck Schirmer’s car at the intersection.

Felony theft charge

Oswego police arrested Gabriela Campos, 22, of the 600 block of LaSalle Street, Aurora, at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 7 at a store in the 3000 block of Route 34. Police said Campos was charged with felony retail theft. The suspect later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Juvenile arrested

Oswego police arrested a female juvenile from Aurora at 8:33 p.m. Feb. 7 at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34 on charges of retail theft and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. Police said the suspect attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at $45.82.

Vehicle damaged by BB at high school

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road. Police said a vehicle’s window was struck by a BB, resulting in more than $500 in damage. Police said they are investigating.

Theft from store

Oswego police are investigating the theft of $100 in cash from a store in the 2300 block of Route 34 in the village.

Domestic investigation continues

Oswego police are continuing their investigation into a domestic battery incident that occurred at 3:10 a.m. Feb. 6 at a residence in the 60th block of Seton Creek Drive.

35 mph over speed limit

Oswego police ticketed Colton L. Miller, 23, of the 1700 block of Cumberland Green, St. Charles, with speeding more than 35 mph over the posted speed limit after they stopped the vehicle he was driving at 7:49 a.m. Feb. 7 on Orchard Road near Tuscany Trail. Police said Miller was given a court date.

Juvenile arrested

Oswego police arrested a juvenile from Aurora on charges of retail theft and possession of alcohol at 9 p.m. Feb. 7 at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34.

Traffic crash

Oswego police responded to a call at 2:48 p.m. Feb. 5 for a report of a traffic crash near Douglas Road and Old Post Road. Police said Joyce Mundwiler, 69, of Oswego was driving a vehicle west on Old Post Road through the intersection and hit a vehicle driven by Claudia Guerrero-Hermosillo, 40, of Aurora traveling north on Douglas Road. Police said there were two minors in the vehicle driven by Guerrero-Hermosillo. There were no injuries reported and no citations issued, according to police.

Fraud

Oswego police took a report of alleged fraud at 9:14 a.m. Feb. 4 in the 1100 block of Route 25.

Battery

Oswego police responded to a call at 3:21 p.m. Feb. 3 for a report of a juvenile who alleged being battered at 1:40 p.m. that day at Oswego High School. Police said in a news release the investigation is pending.
