Kendall County Sheriff's reports

Theft over $500

Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of theft at 3:55 p.m. March 2. Police said a victim had tried to buy a car online and payment was made but no vehicle was delivered. The investigation continues.

Possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 11:48 p.m. March 1 at Ridge and Wheeler roads in unincorporated Na Au Say Township for no registration light. The driver, identified as Johnna L. West, 30, of the 27000 block of West Drake Drive, Channahon, was cited for possession of adult cannabis in an unapproved container and released on scene on a personal recognizance bond with a scheduled court appearance.

Criminal trespass to property

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 5:32 a.m. Feb. 29 for a report of a domestic disturbance in the 0-99 block of West Anchor Drive in unincorporated Oswego Township. Robert W. Moore, 31, of the 100 block of Harbor Drive, Oswego was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to property on a signed complaint by the resident.

No valid driver’s license

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 10:09 p.m. Feb. 28 on Fernwood Road near Pembrooke Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for speeding. A juvenile was cited for speeding 38 mph in a 30 mph zone and for not having a valid drivers license. He was issued a recognizance bond and released.

Possession of cannabis

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 5:09 p.m. Feb. 28 on Beecher Road near Route 34 in unincorporated Yorkville for driving with no lights. A juvenile was issued a civil citation for possession of cannabis and released.

Domestic incident under investigation

Sheriff's deputies are investigating a report of a domestic battery that occurred at 4:26 p.m. Feb. 27 at a residence in the 15000 block of Griswold Springs Road in unincorporated Little Rock Township.

Oswego man facing charges

Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael J. Keeling, 28, of the 400 block of Majestic Lane, Oswego, after stopping the vehicle he was driving at 2:36 p.m. Feb. 26 on Fernwood Road at Roulock Road in Boulder Hill. Police said Keeling was charged with felony driving while license revoked and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. He was also cited for speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Hit and run crash reported

Sheriff's deputies took a report of a hit and run crash that occurred at 6:45 a.m. Feb. 26 on Brisbin Road at Whitewillow Road in Lisbon Township. Police said one of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Police said they are continuing to investigate.

Take battery report

Sheriff's deputies investigated a report of a battery that occurred at 11:05 a.m. Feb. 27 in the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill.

Take theft report

Sheriff's deputies took a report of a theft at 9:32 p.m. Feb. 27 at a residence in the 100 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill. Police said the incident remains under investigation.

Driving while revoked

Sheriff's deputies ticketed Sajjad Rana, 53, of the 100 block of Riverside Avenue, Medford, Mass., after stopping the vehicle he was driving at 10:23 p.m. Feb. 26 at the intersection of Route 71 and Millbrook Road. Police said Rana was cited for driving while license revoked and released on his own recognizance.

Facing DUI charge

Sheriff's deputies arrested Kara Rott, 27, of the 100 block of Oswego Plains Drive, Oswego Township, after stopping her vehicle at 9:17 p.m. Feb. 27 near the intersection of Oswego Plains Drive and Plainfield Road for improper lane usage. Police said Rott was charged with driving under the influence. She was transported to the County Jail where she was later released after posting bond.

Theft

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 10:19 a.m. Feb. 25 in the 9300 block of Route 34 in unincorporated Yorkville for a reported theft. Police said the victim reported an item of jewelry was taken without his knowledge or consent. The investigation continues.

Driving while license suspended, possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 2:29 a.m. Feb. 25 on Eldamain Road near Corneils Road in unincorporated Bristol Township for operating a motor vehicle with only one red tail light. Tonya Gonzalez, 21, of the 300 block of East Dearborn Street, Plano, was cited for driving while license suspended, possession of adult use cannabis in an unapproved container, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and one red taillight. Sheriff's officials previously have declined requests for additional information from Record Newspapers regarding charges and citations for driving with suspended licenses and deferred requests for additional information to the Illinois Secretary of State's office. Gonzalez was issued a recognizance bond and released.

Violation of order of protection

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 9:25 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 2200 block of Bell Road in unincorporated Seward Township for a report of a violation of an order of protection. The investigation continues.

Domestic battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 7:08 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 100 block of Galena Street in unincorporated Lisbon for a report of domestic battery. Police said Ross E. McGee, 42, of the same block, was arrested for domestic battery after investigation.  McGee was transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.

Speeding

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 11:01 a.m. Feb. 23 on Route 52 at Church Road in unincorporated Lisbon Township for speeding. Kathryn E. Drey, 19, of the 300 block of Glen Mor Drive, Shorewood, was cited for speeding 91 mph in a 55 mph zone. Drey was issued a recognizance bond and released.

Battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 5:33 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 0-99 block of Eastfield Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a physical altercation involving multiple subjects. The investigation continues.

Theft

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 3:56 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 0-100 block of Red Hawk Drive in unincorporated Oswego Township for a theft report. Police said the victim alleged that he purchased artwork from an art dealer in Perth, Australia and has not yet receive the items. This investigation continues.  

Domestic battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 2:54 p.m. Feb. 21 in the 900 block of McHugh Road in unincorporated Yorkville for report of a domestic battery that occurred. The investigation continues.   

Hit and run traffic crash (property damage)

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 6:52 a.m. Feb. 21 in the 0-99 block of Saugatuck Road in Boulder Hill for a report of property damage hit and run crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle parked in the street was struck by an unknown vehicle. The investigation continues.
