Kendall County Sheriff's reports

Domestic battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 3:40 a.m. March 19 in the 9300 block of Route 34 in unincorporated Bristol Township for a report of domestic battery. After investigation, Kenneth Welch, 20, of the same block, was arrested for domestic battery. Welch was transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.

Harassment by electronic communication

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 10:51 p.m. March 18 in the 200 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill for a report of harassment by electronic communication. The investigation continues.  

Recovered stolen vehicle

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at about 4:59 a.m. March 18 in the 12300 block of Ashley Road in unincorporated Lisbon Township about a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle, which was unoccupied. Police learned the vehicle had been reported to the Will County Sheriff’s Office as stolen. The investigation continues.

Domestic battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 9:47 p.m. March 17 in the 7300 block of Route 34 in unincorporated Bristol Township for a report of a domestic battery. Wendy Baxter, 49, of the same block, was arrested for domestic battery. Baxter was transported to the Kendall County Jail for booking procedures.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 9:02 p.m. March 17 in the 2300 block of Bell Road in Seward Township for a report of a burglary from motor vehicle. The investigation continues.

Attempted ID theft

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 9:38 a.m. March 17 in the 0-99 block of Red Hawk Drive in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of an attempted ID theft. The investigation continues. 

Traffic crash with Injuries

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 9:30 a.m. March 17 on Fernwood Road near Briarcliff Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a crash with injuries. Justin L. Enerson, 21, of the 0-100 block of Marnel Road, Boulder Hill, was injured but signed a medical release with Oswego EMS. Enerson was cited for improper lane use and failure to reduce speed.

DUI drugs/alcohol combination

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 8:47 p.m. March 16 for improper lane usage and arrested Calvin Lane, 37, of the 6500 block of West Diversey Avenue, Chicago, for DUI drugs/alcohol combination. Lane was transported to the Kendall County Jail for booking procedures.

One hurt in Bristol Township crash

A Downers Grove resident, Olivia Mae Collins, 20, of the 2800 block of Gabriella Street, was injured and transported to an area hospital at 5:55 p.m. March 14 after her vehicle was involved in a single vehicle crash on Route 31 and River Oak Drive in Bristol Township, according to the County Sheriff's Office. Police described Collins' injuries as non-life threatening.

Business reported vandalized

Sheriff's deputies took a report of a burglary and criminal damage to property at 9:31 a.m. March 14 at a business in the 600 block of Route 34 in Oswego Township. Police said deputies were told that someone entered and vandalized the business. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

Take vehicle burglary report

Sheriff's deputies took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle at 10:04 a.m. March 14 in the 17000 block of Ridge Road in Seward Township near Minooka. Police said deputies were told the incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. March 14.

Fox Township burglary reported

Sheriff's deputies are investigating the burglary of an outbuilding located in the 12000 block of River Road in Fox Township. Police said deputes were told the burglary occurred between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. March 14.

Burglary to vehicle reported

Sheriff's deputies are investigating a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that they were notified of at 8:10 a.m. March 14 in the 14000 block of Jughandle Road in Seward Township near Minooka. Police said the theft occurred at approximately 4:35 a.m. March 14.

Domestic battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 10:34 p.m. March 13 in the 100 block of Kevin Lane in unincorporated Oswego Township for report of a domestic battery. The investigation continues, according to police.

In-state warrant

Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop at 7:50 p.m. March 13 on Route 71 near West Highpoint Road in unincorporated Fox Township. Contact was made with Jose Ramirez, 30, of the 600 block of Jefferson Street, Aurora, who was wanted on an Aurora Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court for driving while license suspended. Bond on the warrant was set at $6,000, with 10% to post. Ramirez was transported and released to the custody of Aurora police without incident.

ID theft

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 2:53 p.m. March 13 in the 100 block of Long Beach Road in Boulder Hill on a report of identity theft. The investigation continues.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 9:33 p.m. March 12 in the 2500 block of Light Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a criminal damage to property. The incident is under investigation.

Warrant

Sheriff's deputies had contact with Gary Schmidt, 44, of the 0-100 block of Blackhawk Springs Drive, Little Rock Township at 8:52 p.m. March 12. Schmidt was taken into custody for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense warrant out of DuPage County, with a bond amount of $3,000. Gary was transported to the Kendall County Jail for booking procedures.

Battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 8:08 p.m. March 12 in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a battery. Theresa Ulery, 59, of the same block, was charged with battery and transported to the Kendall County Jail for booking procedures.

Battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 4:08 p.m. March 12 for a report of a disturbance in the 100-115 block of Harbor Drive in unincorporated Oswego Township. The case is under investigation. 

Battery

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at about 5:38 p.m. March 11 at the 100 block of Light Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a reported battery. The incident is under investigation.

DUI

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 3:17 a.m. March 10 in the area of Blackhawk Road and River Road in unincorporated Little Rock Township for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. The driver identified as David W. O’Brien, 40, of the 3000 block of Bailey Street, Plano, was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at about 10:30 a.m. March 9 in the 0-100 block of Marnel Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a theft of personal property that occurred sometime on March 8. The investigation continues.
