Two Kendall County residents arrested for domestic battery in separate incidents

Two Kendall County residents have been arrested on domestic battery charges in separate incidents within the last 24 hours, according to sheriff's officials.

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies responded at 5:07 p.m. March 24 in the 2300 block of Route 34 in unincorporated Bristol Township for a report of a domestic battery, according to a Wednesday, March 25 news release from the sheriff's office.

After investigation, Michael D. Schmidt, 29, of the same block in Bristol Township, was arrested for domestic battery and trespass to a residence. Schmidt was transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.

Schmidt remains in custody as of 12:12 p.m. Wednesday, according to jail records.

Sheriff's deputies also responded to a call at 2:13 a.m. March 25 in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a domestic, according to the news release.

After investigation, Joanne Alvarez, 27, of the same block in Oswego Township, was arrested for domestic battery. Alvarez was transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.

Alvarez also remains in custody as of 12:12 p.m. Wednesday, according to jail records.
