All students in the Plano HIgh School Class of 2020 are invited to participate in a parade on Sunday, May 24.

Check in time is 12:15 p.m. at the school parking lot and the parade will begin at 1 p.m. Only the senior students and a driver are allowed in the parade.

Jeanelle Phipps, parent to one of the 2020 grads, is coordinating this event. Plano School District and Plano High School are not sponsoring this parade.

Several guidelines for social distancing must be followed: Vehicles must be decorated before arriving at the high school parking lot; participants are to remain in their vehicles and if you have to get out of your vehicle to adjust a decoration, participants MUST wear a face mask and be 6 feet from another person.

The parade will begin in the parking lot at Plano High School, ride through the north side of Plano, cross Route 34 to ride through the south side of Plano, turn east on Route 34 to ride in Lakewood South, cross Route 34 to ride in Lakewood North, and end in the vicinity of Waubonsee Community College Plano location. The parade route will be shared in local media one week before this event.

Class of 2020 grads may contact Jeanelle Phipps through the 2020 Plano Graduates Parade Facebook page to be included in the parade lineup.
