Harassment through electronic
communication

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:05 p.m. June 22 in the 0-99 block of Chatham Place in Boulder Hill for a report of harassment through electronic communication. The incident is under investigation.

In-state warrant

At 7:47 p.m. June 22, Ray Trevino Jr., 25, of the 2300 block of Sumac Drive, Bristol Township, turned himself in to the Kendall County Jail for a Kendall County no-bond warrant for domestic battery. Sheriff’s officials said Trevino will appear in front of a judge for a bond hearing.

Leaving the scene of a traffic crash

Sheriff’s deputies at 6:41 p.m. June 22 responded to a call for a report of a traffic crash in the area of Ridge and Holt roads in Seward Township, where the offending vehicle left the scene. The incident is under investigation.

Aggravated assault

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:09 p.m. June 21 for a report of person with a weapon in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Oswego Township. After investigating, a 14-year-old female juvenile from the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road was charged with aggravated assault.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 6:34 p.m. June 20 for a report of domestic battery in the 9300 block of Route 34 in Bristol Township. The investigation continues.

Traffic crash with injuries

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 4:56 p.m. June 20 for a report of a crash with injuries on Galena Road near Tyler Road. Daniel L. Richard, 61, of the 0-99 block of Rolling Oaks Road, Sugar Grove, was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora by Little Rock EMS for injuries that were not life-threatening. Sheriff’s officials did not provide additional information about any resulting charges or arrests.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 10:47 a.m. June 20 in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Bristol Township for a report of a damaged vehicle. The investigation continues.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 10:16 a.m. June 20 in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Bristol Township for a report of a damaged vehicle that just occurred. The investigation continues.

Traffic crash with injuries

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 8:28 p.m. June 19 in the area of Tyler and Galena roads in Little Rock Township for a report of a single-vehicle motorcycle crash. The driver was transported to Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. Sheriff’s officials did not provide further information on the nature of the injuries or how the crash occurred.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 5:57 p.m. June 19 in the 0-99 block of Old Post Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a theft of a bicycle that occurred between June 11 and 19. The investigation continues.

Burglary to vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:11 a.m. June 19 in the 0-99 block of Codorus Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a burglary to vehicle that had occurred sometime overnight. The matter mains under investigation.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 8:50 a.m. June 19 in the 0-50 block of Guilford Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a burglary to vehicle that had occurred during the overnight hours. Police said the victim reported that his vehicle had been entered during the night, and about $35 was taken from his vehicle. The investigation continues.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 1:58 a.m. June 19 in the 0-99 block of Quinsey Lane in Bristol Township for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. Police said construction tools were taken out of an unlocked vehicle. The investigation continues.

Leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license suspended

Sheriff’s deputies were notified June 18 of a property damage accident that had occurred on Grove Road, near Cherry Road, the previous week. Police said the driver, Kyrstal M. Barnes, 42, of the 500 Block of Chestnut Drive, Oswego, was found to have left the scene of the accident without notifying police and to have been driving with a suspended driver’s license during the investigation. Sheriff’s officials have declined sharing information regarding the nature of driving with suspended driver’s license charges. Barnes was cited for both charges and released on a personal recognizance bond.

Sheriff’s deputies investigated a domestic incident at 9:23 p.m. June 18 in the 0-100 block of Pletcher Drive in unincorporated Yorkville. The incident is under investigation.

Personal injury crash, DUI

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 8:04 p.m. June 18 at the intersection of Stewart Road and Scotch Road in Oswego Township for a report of a personal injury accident. The driver of the vehicle, Lawrence R. Martinez, 60, of the 200 block of Liszka Lane, Oswego, was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police said an investigation of the incident revealed Martinez was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with DUI and disobeying a stop sign. Due to his injuries, he was released on his own recognizance.

Identity theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 400 block of Meadow Street in Newark for a report of identity theft. Someone had used the victim’s identity to make online purchases. Sheriff’s officials did not provide additional information on the time and date the incident took place or the report was made. Police said there was no monetary loss.

No valid driver’s license

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 3:02 a.m. June 18 in the 1000 block of Douglas Road in Oswego Township for speeding. During the traffic stop it was found that the driver, Alexander D. Lopez, 23, of the 1200 block on Church Road, Aurora, was driving without a valid driver’s license. Lopez was cited for driving without a driver’s license and for speeding. Lopez was released on scene on his personal recognizance.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 9:43 p.m. June 17 in the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road in Boulder Hill for a report of domestic battery. The investigation continues.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 3:44 a.m. June 17 in the 1000 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township for a report of a domestic battery. After investigation, Charles D. Williams, 23, of the same block, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. Williams was transported to the Kendall County Jail for booking procedures.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:50 p.m. June 16 in the 0-100 block of Sierra Road in Boulder Hill for a report of criminal damage to property. This investigation continues.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded at 7:04 p.m. June 16 to the Public Safety Center for a report of a domestic battery that occurred on 1700 block of Little Rock Road in Little Rock Township. The investigation continues.

Hit-and-run

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 2:31 p.m. June 16 in the 1600 block of Light Road in Oswego Township for a report that someone struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene without reporting.

Vehicle theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 10:30 a.m. June 16 to a business in the 0-99 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township to investigate the reported theft of an ATV. The matter remains under investigation.

Violating order of protection

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 4:47 p.m. June 15 in the 0-99 block of Hampton Road in Boulder Hill for a report of violation of an order of protection. The investigation continues.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 11:47 p.m. June 15 in the 1500 block of Light Road in Oswego Township for a report of domestic battery. This investigation continues.
