UMC Plano hosts outdoor service

The United Methodist Church of Plano held an outdoor worship service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 14. Thirty-five people gathered in the church parking lot, sat in lawn chairs or in their vehicle, some wore masks, practiced social distancing, and enjoyed the message delivered by Pastor Stevan Saunders. This was the first “in person” service at the church since March 15 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pastor Stevan Saunders had been delivering his worship sermons via live streaming on Facebook in April and May. Worship “in person” services will be conducted in the church sanctuary beginning June 21 at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to participate in the worship services with the following requirements: masks are required, use hand sanitizer provided by the church before entering the sanctuary, and sit in pews or chairs that meet the social distancing requirements. For more information please contact the church office at 630-552-3700.  Pictured are a few members from the United Methodist Church of Plano listening to Pastor Stevan Saunders message at the outdoor worship service on June 14.
