To the Editor:
Last week’s Ledger endorsed Lauren Underwood for 14th Congressional District that reads like her political flyers, lauding her as a champion of mainstream legislation. She is a registered nurse but never served as a practicing nurse. Upon college graduation, she was employed by the Obama administration as a health adviser working on the Affordable Care Act, and lived in the Washington, D.C., area. The DNC selected her as the 2018, 14th congressional candidate, returned her to this area and heavily funded her with millions of dollars. The article credits her as an originator of many bills instead of mainly being a signatory, but she did sign 100% of Pelosi's bills.
As a veteran, I am offended that she used and awarded the taxpayer-provided Vietnam Veteran Service Pin at one of her political events when that award should have been made by a nonpartisan veteran group. She has not taken a stand for law and order, does not condemn rioters, calls the violence heartbreaking and sides with those who blame the police.
This election is between freedom, law and order and placing America first or socialism where there will not be freedom as we know it. Vote Republican.
