Oswego Township Republican Chairman Kevin Schramek has announced that the Oswego Township Republican Caucus will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. in the Oswego Township Garage at 1150 Route 25 in Oswego.
The caucus will nominate candidates for the following offices: township supervisor; township clerk, township assessor, township highway commissioner, and township trustees(4).
The consolidated local election is set for April 6, 2021.
Participation is open to Oswego Township residents who are registered voters and have voted in at least one Republican primary election since 2012 and have not voted in any other political party’s primary election since that time. Caucus participants must be able to present a photo ID with their address and their voter card.
Persons wishing to seek nomination for any of the above offices must submit a letter to to: Michael F. Becker, recording secretary, Oswego Township Republican Organization. P.O. Box 1144, Montgomery, IL 60538-1144 no later that Friday, Nov. 27. The letter must include the candidate’s name,address, the office for which nomination is being sought and be signed by the candidate. Candidates must meet the same qualifications as are listed for caucus participants.
