She passed 100 career goals in a game early this season, and finished at Yorkville with 134. This season alone, Willie, who will play collegiately at Illinois, scored 44 goals with four assists.
"That [134 goals] is a record that may never be broken," Yorkville coach Michael Wiest said. "She has a knack for scoring and she has continued to improve upon that this season.
A dynamic offensive talent, Peyton Willie is the Record/Ledger Girls Soccer Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Willie’s favorite memory this year was beating Sycamore. Yorkville had never done so before.
The bus arrived late, allowing the Foxes just eight minutes to warm up.
Willie’s hat trick led Yorkville to a 4-3 win, only Sycamore’s second loss of the season.
“They definitely were not expecting that,” Willie said.
