Grant, and the Wolves (24-8) were stellar in defeat, in the program's first sectional final. He scored 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting with just one turnover. Dennis did a little of of everything, with 18 points, nine assists and five steals. His 3-pointer, with 22 seconds left, closed the Wolves within 66-64.
"Their guards many times were as good as ours," said Bolingbrook coach Robert Brost, who has three good ones in Drake commit Yesufu, NIU recruit Tyler Cochran and Darius Burford. "Ray J, with the exception of [Morgan Park's] Adam Miller, he's the best guard we've played against all season."
Grant was spectacular driving to the basket all night. Grant's score in transition, with 1:18 left in the third quarter, gave Oswego East its last lead, 53-52. That was after Bolingbrook had surged out of a halftime tie to lead 50-43.
