Crowds enjoy carnival, food and wide variety of entertainment
Before the showers arrived on Saturday, crowds enjoyed a wide variety of entertainment at Oswego's PrairieFest community celebration on Friday.
Friday highlights included a stunt dog demonstration, carnival rides, petting zoo and plenty of live music, including performances by Karma, an Oswego-based band, Tricky Mission, a punk/rock cover band and Spin Doctors.
The BoDeans are scheduled to take to the PrairieFest stage Saturday night at 9 p.m.
The free celebration is being held in PrairieFest Park, just south of Oswego High School, off Route 71.
The fest will conclude Sunday at 1 p.m. with a parade through the village's downtown.
